Final Fiber, Sunday 11-3
Come on, come all to the final fiber sale going on at Moa, this Sunday from 11am-3pm. News is that in light of the economic foothold, the brick and mortar shop is closing. so i have to unload some inventory.
i'm clearing out the fairy cave, so this one is going to be EPIC!
payment methods of cash will be most preferred, i will be offering up special deals for cash purchases. check payments are preferred over credit cards. but make no mistake, good deals will be had by all.
Be there or be square--pass it on!

the beginning
Lately I’ve been showing some materials, fiber that has been dyed and so on. To that measure pictured below is some yarn that I’ve handspun on my wooden spinning wheel (Fast & Furious Lucille).
I’m showing the raw materials to illustrate the proverbial beginning, and to demonstrate how each Moa HandKnits item is handcrafted from start to finish.
Moreover, the materials such as suri alpaca, wools, mohair, etc, are sustainable animal fibers that come from a crew of dear suppliers that treat their animals/processes with supreme kindness.
These aforementioned suppliers are farmers, animal rescuers, hand dyers, artists, and most importantly they are friends. Frankly, Moa HandKnits wouldn’t exist without them.
People ask me "what is your inspiration"; the answer to that question is that my inspiration comes from everything, and sometimes nothing. Out of thin air, or a compilation of many things (including candy, coffee, nature, people, and more). But what inspires me most is working with the raw materials, given each have their own identity.
Handspun yarn from top to bottom:
Cutie Pie Yarn: baby alpaca, merino, and other speciality bits, all hand dyed
Fiesta: carbonized bamboo, hand dyed animal fiber accents
Iris: hand dyed alpaca, blended with wool accents
Indigo: hand dyed merino wool

spring fever
hello everybody!
What a long strange trip it's been...this winter. the economy. gads. it's all too much, is it not?
so, this is my plan. to heck with it, i'm going to get juicy and punch it up with some color. why not?
this spring i'm combining silk with lightweight wool and making slings and wraps. take them to the beach, go out at night, or just put on something to feel pretty and dress up the usual. why not!
wraps will retail for under $150.00, and slings under $100.00 unless there is a custom something 'er other going on in the design.

meanwhile, for those of you in Cincinnati, come by the design studio, i'm closing out of alot of things. so, there is a major sale goings on, you don't want to miss it! there are some killer garments, pretty jewelry and other things that are all very special.
