Interview with Pat Maley, Master Spinner. I probably should have asked more questions, but watching her spin yarn makes me go into a trance. LOL. She is a fountain of knowledge, I think she knows everything! Enjoy "The Master" at work!

That is awesome! She sounds great! My favorite local spinner is similar in spirit- she loves the old ways but isn't "against" the new stuff. She just loves to try new things and see new techniques. I just love that.
I adore the fact that Pat isn't spinning super duper lace weight. I love that she has range. Thanks for sharing this with me! p.s. I also make my students spin cotton balls! How cool is that?!?!
you make them spin cotton balls? that's hilarious! honestly, i hated doing it, but found that to perfect my long draw for spinning "the good stuff" like angora and other short downy fibers.
